In this tutorial, learn how to use the dehaze slider, the adjustment brush and radial filters to add convincing fog to your images. Fog you if you don't like it.
A Touch of Mystery, And Pizza
Sometimes images need that extra bit of interest. In this episode of Pivko Presents we will add a realistic fog atmosphere effect on three photos taken in Florence, Italy. These images are available for free download below. We accomplish this effect by using the Dehaze Slider as a foundation (a new feature available in Lightroom 6), along with several other techniques including radial filters and the adjustment brush. When all combined it makes for a convincing and realistic fog & atmosphere effect achieved without having to leave Adobe Lightroom. See the before and afters below:
- Turning the dehaze slider on its head to fog your images.
- Radial and adjustment brushes to simulate moisture.
- Grain to blend your effect.
- Sexy vignette for subtle framing.
- And more...
